If you would scrape away some of my paintings, you will find an older painting underneath. I paint a lot and sometimes after a while (or right away) I realize it is not good enough, or not what I was trying to achieve. This painting is unique as I did not go over the painting entirely but I did a complete “renovation”.
I initially painted this with a brush, the colors were more subdued and bland. I went over the whole painting, kept all the composition and basic colors, but I did it all with a pallet knife, adding lots of golds, and creating a vibrancy the painting lacked.
